Volunteer Opportunities at the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, Inc.

Are you looking for a way to get involved? Your time and talent could make a difference in our service to the pediatric brain tumor community. As a nonprofit organization, the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children relies heavily on the support of volunteers to perform its work. We need help in these areas:

  • Office/Secretarial Support in the BTFC office – Help with word processing, filing, answering phone, making calls, data entry, preparing letters, etc. Some of these tasks could also be done from your home.
  • Fundraising – Assist with our annual fundraisers: Flight of the Butterflies (early spring), "J. Smith Lanier & Co. Charity Classic to Benefit the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children," (early May) and William's Walk & Run (early November). There are many ways to help, at the events and behind the scenes.
  • Grantwriting – Do you have experience writing grants? We need you!
  • Family Support – Assist with planning exciting activities and outings for BTFC kids and their families.
  • Newsletter/Article Writing – Have a talent for writing? Help us with our quarterly newsletter, the Butterfly Bulletin.
  • Public Relations/Marketing – Help spread the word out about the good work of the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children.

If you are interested in helping in any of these areas, or in some other way not listed here, contact us. We would love to hear from you!
